The Oak Lawn Public Library presents Cineversary

Cineversary is a new once-a-month event at the Oak Lawn Public Library that celebrates a milestone anniversary of an artistically, culturally and historically important motion picture. Participants gather in a lower level theater room to watch the complete movie and then engage in a group conversation led by Erik J. Martin, creator and moderator of CineVerse – the Oak Lawn Park District’s weekly film discussion group founded in 2005.

For Cineversary, Erik has carefully curated 12 feature films celebrating significant birthdays in 2017. Learn why these beloved movies have stood the test of time, how they’ve inspired other filmmakers and influenced our culture, and what they can teach us today by attending Cineversary one Saturday each month from 1-4 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Public Library, located at 9427 Raymond Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Cineversary is free and open to anyone age 17 and older; no pre-registration is required.
